MINISTER of Health Chitalu Chilufya says the country has recorded 10 more cases of Corona Virus Disease (COVID 19) in the past 24 hours.
Dr. Chilufya says the 10 new cases were captured during the mass targeted screening activities and that as a result of increased screening, the number of cases is likely to go up as more people will be tested.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chilufya says one patient from the Copperbelt has been discharged while another patient in Lusaka will be discharged today.
He also says the three month-old baby who was yesterday said to be in a critical condition has greatly improved leading to it being weaned off oxygen machines to which it was connected.
The number of cases recorded so far has risen to 119, with 75 patients discharged so far while 41 are still in hospital. Three deaths have been recorded since the first case was recorded in Zambia.
