KAMBWILI’S DRIVER NABBED FOR ALLEGEDLY BEING CONGOLESE

By Scoop Reporter

NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) president Chishimba Kambwili’s official driver, George Bwalya, was on Friday arrested in Sinazeze on account that he is a foreigner from Congo but was released after spending two nights in the cells without a charge.

Impeccable sources at Sinazeze police station confirmed the development to The Scoop this morning and said Mr. Bwalya was picked from the guest house at which he was lodging as he is reportedly on leave.

After the police failed to find any credible charge against him, they alleged that it was not them who arrested him but officers from the Immigration Department as he was suspected to be a foreigner.

“He was detained without a charge. The allegation that he is a foreigner had no basis because he produced all his credentials and that included his green Zambian passport.

“At that time, he was released without a charge on Sunday,” the source said.
