The thumb is on the pulse as Lake Kariba is unhurriedly snaking up with various sectors of the economy anxiously waiting with baited breath for improved water levels, improved electricity generation and businesses cranking up again.
The Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) in their latest report state that water levels in Lake Kariba has reached 33.22 percent.
This is as per the reading released Thursday, May 14, 2020.
“The Lake level has continued rising steadily. It closed the period under review at 480.19m (33.22 percent usable storage) on 14th May 2020. Last year on the same date, the Lake level was at 480.11m (32.62 percent usable storage),” read the Zambezi River Authority update.
