………. Gives him a 7-day ultimatum to pay and apologise or be dragged to court

PATRIOTIC Front member Francis Muchemwa has given his fellow party member Innocent Kalimanshi a seven-day to publicly apologise to him and pay ZMW70, 000 for making false accusations against him that he killed someone in Kaoma or be dragged to court.
In a letter of claim from Mr. Muchemwa lawyers Tutwa Ngulube & Co. dated May 19, 2020, Mr. Muchemwa says Mr. Kalimanshi uttered and caused to be published, statements, that he is a murderer of someone in Kaoma and that he has been involved in various corrupt practices with Chilufya Tayali.
He says as a result of these allegations, he has suffered threats and ridicule from the public.
“Without further delay as per instructions from our client, we demand for a public apology by yourself which should be published and circulated on various media platforms and an amount of ZMW 70, 000 being damages for the damage caused to our client’s reputation and anguish for the false statement you uttered to the public about our client herein.
“You are further obliged to pay our legal cost which currently stands at ZMW 7, 000. Kindly ensure that you comply with our demand within seven days as we shall not hesitate in proceeding to institute a costly legal process against your for which we have full instructions,” read the letter in part.
