PF PLOTS TO DIVIDE OPPOSITION

By Scoop Reporter

RULING Patriotic (PF’s) plot to scatter the opposition alliance into disarray ahead of the 2021 elections have been exposed.

The PF is said to have hatched a scheme to bring confusion between united Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema and National Democratic Congress (NDC) president Chishimba Kambwili by counteracting on national issues over which the two have differences in opinion.

Yesterday, Mr. Kambwili praised Government over its stance on Glencore over Mopani Copper Mines saying the company is taking advantage of Zambians.

This was seen as a direct assault on Mr. Hichilema who has been critical of the way Government is running the mining sector.

The PF cadres quickly instructed its media team to ensure that the story was given prominence both on social media and in the mainstream media.

Mr. Kambwili’s story made headlines on ZNBC, a station which has almost blacked him out as it rarely covers him, save for incidences like these when it works to the advantage of the PF.

In this screenshot from one of the PF WhatsApp group, PF cadre Max Chongu is instructing party media director, Sunday Chanda, to strategically praise Chishimba Kambwili for supporting Government’s decision on the mines to create political rivalry with Mr. Hichilema.
