….. But still blank on what charge he is facing

POLICE have confirmed the arrest of vocal international award-winning photographer, Chellah Tukuta.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo this morning confirmed to journalists that she is aware that Tukuta was arrested last evening but could not confirm what charge he is facing, saying she needs to find out.
“Give me few minutes. He was picked yes, but for the reasons as to why he was picked wait. I will get back (to you)” Ms. Katongo said.
However, unverified reports suggest that Tukuta was arrested in connection to suspected sexual, cyber, and extortion related offenses. He is currently detained in police custody.
Tukuta has proved to be a hot coal in the ruling Patriotic Front (PF’s) gumboots with numerous exposés on a number of shortcomings in Government including alleged rampant corruption and shrinking freedoms in the country.
Last week, PF media director Sunday Chanda invited Tukuta over coffee but the outspoken photographer saying he would not sit down and have coffee with the ruling party when the majority of Zambians were suffering.
His arrest is seen by many as the hard way of shutting him up since he refused to engage with the ruling party and air his grievances, the easy way.
