HUNDREDS of Master Guides from various Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Churches from the Woodlands Conference in Lusaka this afternoon marched in pomp and splendor during the investiture ceremony for Senior Youth Leadership (SYL).
Master Guide Clifton Chifuwe reports from the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka where the event took place that 244 candidates were all invested after undergoing an extensive and rigorous training in March this year which was held at Kings Palace Academy for four days.
All the candidates who were charged today met all the requirements on the Senior Youth Leaders Card and were last Sunday, June 14, 2020, assessed to check if they qualified and it was this sieve that okayed everyone.
South Zambia Conference Executive Secretary Vanny Munambeza Munyumbwe graced the occasion where he implored the youths to realise that God has a special purpose in their lives.
Dr. Munyumbwe preached on the subject “how can this be?” based on Luke 1:34, saying the role of the youths in God’s service is huge and that God has a place each one of them can occupy only if they can present themselves like Mary did.
A charge was given by Pastor J. Shangala who is the current Woodlands Conference Youth Director.
