NEW OPPOSITION ALLIANCE ON THE HORIZON

By Scoop Reporter

3RD Liberation Movement (3RD LM) president Enock Tonga says political parties are pondering the creation of a strong alliance of opposition political parties ahead of the 2021 elections to be called Bonse Alliance (BA2021).

Mr. Toga has told The Scoop in an interview this morning that the concept is derived from the BA1964 concept and that this will be an all-inclusive, mother of all alliances.

“BA2021 is not a concept for merely regime change. You can count on us and I challenge each one of you here to start talking to your leaders in your various opposition political entities and make them come to terms with reality.

“BA2021, like BA1964 is all-inclusive and mother of all alliances. In the next 77 days, we are to announce a five member Council of Elders (CE) under BA2021, and single opposition presidential candidate for 2021 needs to be known.

“We are objective and independent and not sellouts. Zambia deserves better. Not amanyengwe we are seeing in the name of governance as though we are all dead,” Mr. Tonga said.
