RELEGATION-THREATENED NKWAZI GIVES KANGANJA HEADACHE

By Scoop Reporter

INSPECTOR General of police Kakoma Kanganja has urged Nkwazi football club to fly above the relegation zone in the remainder of the 2019/2020 MTN /Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) league.

Nkwazi sits 13 on league table, two places above the relegation zone as they return to action following the resumption of the league which had closed due to the COVID-19 which disrupted sports actives across the world.

Speaking at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka today when he handed over a 36-seater luxury bus and a saloon car to Nkwazi, Kanganja urged the Dennis Makinka-tutored team to survive relegation.

He says the club’s target in the remaining 10 games is that of surviving relegation.

He has thanked Stanbic Bank Zambia for the K50, 000 rendered to Nkwazi in November last year, which he says went towards the purchase of Toyota Camry.

And Nkwazi secretary Masauso Kalililo thanked the police command for two vehicles given to his club. Kalililo says the 36-seater luxury bus and a saloon car have boosted the morale in the team for both the technical bench and the players.

He has assured Kanganja that the two vehicles would be guarded jealously and further thanked Stanbic Bank Zambia for the support towards the club.

Nkwazi’s first post-COVID game is against big-spending Zanaco on July 26, 2020.
