THE United Party for National Development (UPND) has warned those threatening to harm its president, Hakainde Hichilema, that they will have themselves to blame.
UPND National Youth Deputy Information and Publicity Secretary Cindy Kauka says the UPND has noted continued threats from the Patriotic Front (PF) on Mr. Hichilema.
Ms. Kauka says the level of hatred that President Edgar Lungu has on Mr. Hichilema is worrying but that the UPND is ready to defend its president, any Zambian, and its membership against any form of attack.
“We warn anyone with such motive that if you dare attack our president we shall declare unending war upon your families and we are not joking. It is such a pity that a Government that is supposed to be strategizing on how to make our country a food basket for the continent is instead planning on harming its own citizens.
“This beautiful country with so much resources and arable land is so unfortunate to have such a leadership. When we are supposed to talking about rebuilding our broken economy, our Government is busy dividing the people through hate speech, tribalism, and regionalism. Worry not people of Zambia because this shall pass.
“Better days are coming for mother Zambia. We shall liberate this country from corrupt evil men. Days are coming when we shall live as one united family and focus on national Development. It has become a trend for African leaders to destroy their own country before leaving office and this is exactly what PF is doing, destroying a beautiful country but their days are numbered,” Ms. Kauka said.
She says the UPND shall rebuild this nation and restore peace and unity and will remain resilient and strong in the fight for a better Zambia.
