MONGWE businessman Emmanuel Kasambo has given women marketeers in the area a total of K50, 000 to boost their businesses.
Mr. Kasambo says the donation is a measure to mitigate effects of COVID-19 which have paralysed businesses to try and resuscitate the small businesses which are struggling owing to the current economic situation.
Beneficiaries are from Kasonga ward in Chief Machiya and the money was presented to them yesterday by Mr. Kasambo himself who said the start-up initiatives is aimed at supporting the small businesses in the area.
He says he will continue to support communities in the area by helping them become viable in their small businesses.
