PROSPECTS of having Green Buffaloes host international games at home at their Independence Stadium look more attainable than ever before as ongoing construction and refurbishment works have reached an advanced stage.
The Choma-based club wants to bring their facility up to Confederation of African Football (CAF) standards to enable them play continental games at home as opposed to travelling to Lusaka or the Copperbelt for international assignments.
According to the club media team, the club has continued striving to make the Choma Independence Stadium suitable for both Premier league and CAF games.
“With ongoing construction and renovations, we are glad to see that new terraces, dressing rooms, Screening room, conference room, media room, VIP and the secretariat have been made to modern standards.
We can also boast of having a training pitch which is also taking shape,” read a post on their official Facebook page yesterday.
