NEW OPPOSITION ALLIANCE BORN

By Scoop Reporter

A NEW alliance of opposition political parties involving the Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) and United for Better Zambia (UBZ) has been born.

ZDDM vice president Charles Kafumbo has confirmed the development to The Scoop in an interview this afternoon saying ZDDM president Edwin Sakala and his UBZ counterpart Hector Soondo agreed to forge an alliance ahead of the 2021 elections.

Mr. Kafumbo says the alliance will be called the Zambia United Alliance-2Parties (ZUA-2P) whose main objective and agenda for the 2021 vote is to enhance the federalism and industrialization manifesto to rediscover Zambia in the changed world amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Vision of ZUA -2P is to change the entire governance system to federalism and industrialisation using our own resources, both human and natural resources, as no one in the changed world will give Zambia handouts amid COVID-19. It is our desired prayer that Zambians shall support us effectively,” Mr. Kafumbo said.
