GOVERNMENT in Luano District has advised civil servants to desist from engaging in active politics and concentrate on the work they were employed for.
Luano District Commissioner Christopher Chibuye, sounded the warning during the opening of the district development coordinating committee meeting held in Luano when he was addressing heads of Government departments.
Mr. Chibuye says Government will not forgive any civil servants engaging in active politics because civil servants were employed to implement government policies, He further advice Civil servants waiting to actively engage in politics to resign from the civil service and join politics.
He has emphasised the need for civil servants to remain non-partisan as the country prepares for the general election next year.
He says Government will not hesitate to dismiss anyone involved in partisan politics and has appealed to the civil servants in the district to work with the Government of the day.
