By Scoop Reporter

THE Zambia National Farmers’ Union (ZNFU) this week called off the meeting scheduled for Thursday July 23, 2020 at its Headquarters to brainstorm input to the 2021 National Budget as cases of Covid-19 soared in the past week.

ZNFU Media and Public Relations Manager Calvin Kaleyi says this is a precautionary measure taken by the Union to protect its general membership as prescribed by the Ministry of Health to avoid public gatherings.

Mr. Kaleyi says the ZNFU alternatively opened submissions via email as the closing date July 31 2020, for making submissions draws near.

“Other submissions on issues regarding tax and non-tax policy matters made earlier in the year will also be incorporated in the document which will be circulated to various representatives before the final document is presented to the Ministry of Finance,” Mr. Kaleyi said.
