Mopani Copper Mines Plc acting Chief Executive Officer, Charles Sakanya, has congratulated Nkana football club for winning the 2019/20 MTN/FAZ league title.
With the match decider between Forest Rangers and Zanaco ending in a 0-0 stalemate on Sunday, the Red Devils lifted the trophy for a record 13th time.
And in his congratulatory message to Nkana president, Joseph Silwamba, Sakanya says the long-awaited 13th title is an outstanding achievement.
He says he has no doubt that the team will perform even better in the next season, both at local and intercontinental level.
“On behalf of the Board, Management and entire Staff of Mopani Copper Mines Plc, I wish to wholeheartedly thank all the sponsors of Nkana FC for supporting the team in various ways during the just-ended football season.
“I further congratulate the Club, its executive, technical bench and players on their outstanding achievement of winning the long-awaited 13th Super League title.
“As major sponsors of Nkana, we are proud of this achievement and we are confident the team will be even more competitive next season both in the Champions League and the Super League. Well done guys and continue aiming for the stars next season,” Sakanya said.
