POLICE in Lusaka have launched a manhunt for a woman from Kanyama who is alleged to have murdered her husband, dragged the copse to an unfinished building within the yard, and fled.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo says Jimmy Daka, 30, is believed to have been murdered by his wife, only identified as bana Paul, after a domestic fight between Sunday 22:00 and Monday 02:00 and that mother to the deceased, Violet Daka, 69, reported the matter to the police.
Ms. Katongo says the deceased’s forehead was swollen and was bleeding from the mouth and nose, and bruises.
“The body of the deceased was allegedly dragged from the couple’s house and dumped in another house within the yard which is unoccupied.
“The deceased’s wife who is now the suspect, is reported to be on the run. Police visited the scene and the body had a swollen forehead, bleeding from the mouth and nose, and bruised. The body has been taken to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary awaiting postmortem,” Ms. Katongo said.
