IT IS an undeniable fact that senior Chief Mukuni has always been hateful towards the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) and President Edgar Lungu, Kennedy Kamba has insisted.
Commenting on a statement attributed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in which it claimed that the traditional leader does not hate anyone, Mr. Kamba, who is Lusaka Province PF secretary, said while the ruling party respected traditional leaders, it will not take it kindly on those who were abusing their positions to insult President Lungu.
“In fact , the ruling PF is very busy with more progressive issues aimed at improving the living standards of all Zambians rather than indulging in activities that have no bearing on meaning on the lives of the majority citizenry. The PF is a respectable political party with leaders of integrity that believe and respect Zambia as a democratic dispensation.
“However, we will not take kindly to any civic, religious or traditional leader that want to abuse their positions and push their personal interests by insulting President Lungu and demeaning his presidency when he is working round the clock to make Zambia a better place,” Mr. Kamba said.
He said even those in active politics must understand that politics must be practiced with civility and sobriety adding that insulting President Lungu and the PF did not gain any individual any reputation.
