ALL Peoples Congress (APC) president Nason Msoni has asked President Edgar Lungu to backtrack on what he terms as his intended unconstitutional bid for a third term of office.
Mr. Msoni today claimed President Lungu had failed Zambians and that he had failed to act in the best interest of Zambians when required to do so.
He has accused the President of protecting corrupt Government officials adding that to date, no criminal suspects have been arrested or brought to book for putting the lives of Zambians at real risk through the consumption of the imported and expired drugs.
“Zambians are fatigued by corruption in Government and are merely being polite and respectful by saying that he is ineligible to contest.
The unabated theft of public funds and corruption in government has reached an unprecedented levels. He said that this cannot reasonably be expected to continue.
“In a nutshell, he is a state liability who must now take responsibility and step aside after the end of his term of office,” Mr. Msoni said.
