CHIBAMBA KANYAMA SCHOOLS KASONDE MWENDA ON THE BUDGET

…. as he offers him free mentorship on how to engage productively

By Scoop Reporter

ECONOMIST Chibamba Kanyama has offered opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president, Kasonde Mwenda free mentorship on how to engage productively after he trashed the 2023 National Budget, describing it not worth the paper it is written on.

This was after Mr. Mwenda said “that budget is not even worth the paper it is written on. Too primitive to address our current economic challenges”.

And responding to Mr. Mwenda, Mr. Kanyama said he wants Mr. Mwenda to be a politician worth the salt, capable of dissecting issues before coming up with a conclusion if he is to earn the respect of the people.

As a result, he said, he would offer free mentorship to Mr. Mwenda, even for the 30 minutes for free on how to engage with stakeholders positively.

“Looks like some of us that have read so much into it are primitive. I am willing to offer free mentorship to help you dear brother, (on) how to engage stakeholders productively. I want you to be a strong voice in opposition, earning the respect of a diverse group of people and am happy to offer help even for 30 minutes.

“If you are going to post something like this at the time many people are trying to harvest valuable comments about the budget, you lose traction. You start with some material issues, dissect them within context and by the time you come up with that conclusion, people would have appreciated your argument. Many blessings with love,” Mr. Kanyama said.

But Mr. Mwenda instead went back to social media to call out Mr. Kanyama saying he had secured air time at Diamond TV for a contest over the issue but Mr. Kanyama declined saying the role he wanted to play was advisory because he sees Mr. Mwenda as the next generation of leaders the country is yearning for an d was not out for political gibberish.

  1. There is need for the opposition leaders to be issue based in their engagements. The nonsense being chunned out my most of them is a diservice to the Zambians who need good governance

  2. Honesty Simulwi

Issue based debate is the Hallmark of being a great leader rather than no it all attitude. Mr Kasonde has a lot to learn from comrade CK.
