THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says the much-anticipated friendly match between the Copper Queens and the Netherlands has been put off owing to VISA glitches.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the match fell off after all efforts in the last couple of days to actualize the friendly match failed.
“Efforts to have the match during another window remain open especially that we had already gone so far in organizing the game. It did not help that options for securing the visas were in other jurisdictions like Nairobi and Europe.
“The preparatory program remains in place with the Copper Queens due for a 3-Nation tournament in Asia during the November FIFA Window. Details will be availed in due course.” Kashala says.
Zambia needs such competitive friendly matches.
Faz must be serious all this time they didn’t acquire visa the copper queen any we hope they will manage in the next window
Didn’t FAZ do it’s homework on the VISA requirements before suggesting the friendly match with Netherlands. Ku FAZ Nako it’s a fufu veve teti filondolole apa so kuli Kenny Rogers issue,
But why zambia
FAZ needs to proactive in doing things.. otherwise we shall continue having the same issues over and over..
The time it was confirmed that our Copper Queens will play a friendly match against Netherlands, they should have started running up and down to put everything in place and not wait for the d-day..
These are things that should be priotised especially that it’s not an individual things but nation to nation. Is there anything I should be educated?
Let them prepare well on friendlies otherwise it will affect our girls.
There’s a crisis in the country as regards to Football leadership.
This is one of the symptoms of failure. FAZ has not just become incompetent but it’s also become irrelevant.
