PF WANTS WOMEN ACCESS START-UP CAPITAL FOR BUSINESS

By Alvin Siandabile in Kabwe

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) national deputy chairperson Kavumbu Hakachima Hachilonde says women in Zambia play a very important role in ensuring that families have food and therefore need access to start-up capital.

Ms. Hachilonde says women in the country need support from Government and well-wishers to boosting their daily business ventures through interest-free empowerment loans which they can use as start-up capital.

She says women empowerment programs are very important as they can lessen the challenges that women go through in their day-to-day activities aimed at providing for their families.

Meanwhile, Ms. Hachilonde has called on political parties to give equal opportunities to women by appointing them to senior positions as they are key stakeholders in the political sphere in Zambia and to national development.
