EURONEXT PENALISES ZCCM-IH FOR FAILURE TO PUBLISH FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Martin Akende in Kitwe.

EURONEXT has sanctioned ZCCM-IH for non-compliance and failing to publish the financial statements on time.

The sanction is as a result of the company’s failure to publish the 2021 financial statements before June 30, 2022.

To this effect, Euronext Paris has transferred ZCCM-IH’s listed shares to the penalty breach/non-compliance.

And ZCCMIH has attributed the delay in the finalisation of the audited 2021 financial statements to the delay in the completion of the fair valuation of assets and liabilities related to the acquisition of 90 percent shares of Mopani as at 31 March 2021.

The company has further said it is expected that the audit will be completed and the financial statements will be published before the end of October 2022.

Due to sensitivity of the matter shareholders are being advised to monitor the developments on the company’s website.
